The basic parts of automatic sliding doors are rail, pulley and driving belt. As these three parts are expendable and directly related to operation of automatic doors, their structure, material, machining precision, installation and regulation precision determine the requirements of repair and maintenance and service life. The following is an introduction of four electric components of automatic sliding doors.
Transformer
Transformer is the simplest electric part of automatic sliding doors. But up-scale automatic doors have a fuse tube at the output of transformer that can protect the controller to enhance the safety of system when motor is overloaded.
Driving motor and its overheating protection
Driving motor of up-scale automatic sliding doors adopts brushless variable speed motor which is of high power and adjustability. To ensure opening and closing speed and accuracy, driving motor is equipped with rotary encoder. The overheating protection is the key to prolong the service life of gantry crane.
Lock
Lock is one of the important electric parts of automatic sliding doors. It is the basic part that achieves access control. Automatic sliding doors have two kinds of locks: electromagnetic locks used by common automatic sliding doors and electromechanical locks used by automatic heavy-duty sliding doors. The former realizes its function by using notched belt and the latter by locking suspension hardware directly. When the door is locked, a signal will be sent to controller so that the door will not be re-started.
Controller
Controller is the most important electric component. It is the heart of automatic doors. It develops with modern industrial automation and integrated circuit and develops from analogue circuit to microprocessor. Digital programmed control system greatly improves the modern automatic sliding doors.
