Common Automatic Door Signs

We have all come across any of the bi-folding, sliding, telescoping and also swinging automated doors. They operate without anyone necessarily touching them. In large buildings, it is important to label such doors since if individuals are not aware of them, it can get very dangerous. Automatic door signs warn individuals about an automatic door coming up and thus they are a safety precaution to prevent accidents in a building. The automatic door signs are available not only in double-sided adhesive but also in numerous kinds of materials suitable for the door material. The signs include the following:

 Automatic Sliding Door
It is made from durable materials that are capable of resisting tearing and weather such as polyester. The sign usually reads: AUTOMATIC SLIDING DOOR. This is printed on a graphic with a combined left and right arrow. It has double sided decals plus an opaque adhesive such that the sign can be read from inside as well as outside.

Caution Automatic Door
This has double sided decals and it makes everyone aware of automatic doors. The sign reads boldly: AUTOMATIC CAUTION DOOR. The word order is vertical since the sign is circular.

 Door Swings In/Out
It is two sided and is used in automatic glass doors. It warns people on either side that the automatic door swings either in or out. The sign reads DOOR SWINGS CAUTION OUT or DOOR SWINGS CAUTION IN depending on whether it swings in or out. The word order is vertical.
· Caution Automatic Door and STOP Automatic Door No Exit
The sign comes in a set of two with different messages or warnings for the traffic from either direction. For best comprehension, they can be color coded. The front has an arrow on top with the words CAUTION AUTOMATIC DOOR beneath whereas the back has the word STOP inscribed in an octagon at the top followed by AUTOMATIC DOOR then at the bottom NO EXIT.

Automatic Door with SEGD Symbol
The symbol is blue to attract attention and is understood universally. It is hence most commonly used in automatic doors since it is very effective. Below the SEGD symbol, the sign reads: AUTOMATED DOOR. This makes individuals aware of the door.
The current specifications of the American Association of Automatic Door Manufacturers stipulate that the letters on the signs on automatic doors must be as high as 0.50 inches and bold enough. There are other specifications like for the label sizes depending on factors such as door or building size among others.
