Description of automatic sliding door mechanism
The use of technology has become a major advantage for many people, be it from various appliances to automatic generating house ware and now, even the electric sliding door. Before, people never experience the convenience brought by electric sliding door and are only used to the traditional doors. Automatic sliding door mechanism becomes really popular these days especially in most commercial establishments.
There are lots of different electric sliding door mechanisms that are widely available in the market nowadays. Unlike before, now, it is very common to experience and see them operating in commercial, retail, public buildings, offices and medical leisure in all kinds. From a point of view of any users, electric sliding door mechanism is generally fast, convenient and easy to use. However, from the point of view of some organizations they offer effective, efficient and safe way to monitor or control getting access inside their building while in other cases may add up some aesthetic look to the building.

Working principle of automatic sliding door mechanism
However, although the use of automatic sliding door mechanism can be very satisfactorily, there are still many people who do not know how such system works. If you are one of these people who keep on wondering about the wonderful operation of the automatic or electric sliding door mechanism, here are some things you might want to know:
• The optical sensor – these electric sliding doors utilize motion or optical detection sensors in order to generate their motorized closing and opening functions. These sensors will be installed on the electric door or perhaps integrated into its framing from the side or above. The sensors utilize either microwave or infrared technology that enables the observation of movement and are typically used in industrial and commercial setting that allows easy access for everyone both able and handicap individuals, for safety and efficiency. In which, every time a person get close to the door, it will automatically open and enable the person to enter conveniently. This form of mechanism is very beneficial most especially to those people with disabilities.
• Rollers and tracks – electric sliding door mechanism may be installed or hung in numerous ways relying on the style or the application of the door. Others can be hung from tracks above head (if it is frame-less all-glass door) and don't get contact with the ground plane but glide over it during the operation. They can also be installed on other side supported with tracks and rollers, which creates the connection from the floor plane (for this instance the single sliding doors). Furthermore, they may be mounted within a certain metal frame provided with connections, rollers and tracks for both the floor planes and overhead as well.
• Motor mechanism – the motion or optical sensor is connected to an electric primary drive train which controls the clutch mechanism that is attached on the cog wheel or auxiliary drive and the panel or door panels. The door together with the auxiliary drive becomes connected because of the internal cables or belts, which are often made of rubber. They are the ones responsible for closing and opening operation of the door.
In addtion,With more and more application of automatic doors, many users offer new demand for electric lock.
The locking function of automatic doors is realized in several ways: electric lock, magnetic lock, self lock of eletric motor.
Electric lock
The earliest automatic doors apply the electric locks. There are two kinds of electic locks in the market: dedicated and nondedicated. Dedicated electric locks were first imported from Taiwan and is especially designed for all kinds of automatic door. The working principle is that after recieving the signal from an inductor or access controller, the electric lock opens the lock first and then open the door. Such working principle can avoid the case that the door is opened while the lock is not. And the control unit of lock can delay the trasmission of door-open signal, which is why it is called dedicated lock. Dedicated electric locks have the advantage of making it more difficult to open the door destructively or by force. However, such locks have complex connection modes, are expensive and provided only by manufacturers specialized in automatic doors. Domestic manufacturers can try independent research and development, and the lock body can be equipped with general electric lock. Common electric lock can not delay the tramsmission of door-open signal, and lock-open signals are transmitted by at the same time. Thus the door might be opened faster than the lock, and the spreader bumps into the unopened lock that causes the malfunction of automatic doors. The news reports that people are locked in self-service bank are of the same situation.
Magnetic lock
Magnetic locks, like electric doors, are also designed for dedicated and nondedicated use. But the former works by sucking doors with magnetic force while the latter works by stucking doors with locks. Magnetic locks provide the advantage that the doors are clozed without any space, so that accidents made by children can be avoided. The shortcoming of magnetic locks is that the doors will be opened when the bearing capacity is surpassed.
